The Barrejat Castle vineyard covers 50 hectares in the municipality of Maumusson-Laguian.
Their strengths are the old vines, 80 years old on average, vines of exceptional robustness that concentrate all the qualities to produce a wine of reference for amateurs and enthusiasts.
Totally grassed since 1960, our Gers vineyard is worked in a traditional way. Only materials of natural origin amend the soil. Our disbudding, leafing and green harvesting practices limit yields to 55 hl / ha maximum. Harvesting by hand is our constant practice to preserve bunches of grapes and all their characteristics. Our winemakers attach the utmost care to the reception of the harvest. It has been operating optimally since 1966, the date of construction of a harvest reception and an underground barrel cellar.
The strength of Barrejat Castle is to have a huge capital of old vines. Installed in 1992 at the Château, Denis Capmartin produces four cuvées perfectly storied in quality. Over the years this castle has distinguished itself and collects a beautiful list of awards and medals.
