The Coteaux du Lizet and de l'Osse have been classified as “ Natura 2000 ”. They extend between Montesquiou and Mirande. The area is delimited between the Lizet lake and the Osse river. The Lizet is a dam lake. It is a fishing spot, famous in particular for carp, in no-kill. The Osse is a capricious river that floods and feeds the surrounding meadows. In the valley of the Osse and the slopes of Lizet, which extend between the two, you will find lawns, where orchids bloom during the spring. Many hiking trails allow you to appreciate the beauty of the Astarac landscapes in all seasons.
