  I had a fantastic stay! Florence and Patrick are very caring hosts. They embrace you like a family and you regret that you have to leave their lovely house and go home. Everything was just perfect including breakfast and diners! I will come again

  I almost didn't want to write this review as it would reveal Gascony's best kept secret! But it's worth all the praise I can give. Florence and Patrick have created an eco-friendly oasis of calm at Lassenat with attention to every detail: comfortable beds, hot water bottles, books, organic soaps and herbal tea in their immaculately clean ensuite bedrooms; Florence's notable and quite wonderful breakfast spreads offered a different delight every day. We enjoyed home made scones and jams, the most delicious - and impressive - home made brioche - fresh goats cheese, nuts and fruits. Florence took great care to ensure that we had everything we needed and to explain how she had cultivated and made all of the delicious things to eat. Everything is organic and home grown or comes from within 5km of the house. We didn't have time to explore the nature trail around the property and check out their orchard or vegetable patch or try out the e-bikes, so we will have to go back and do that next time. We stayed in October and were warm and cosy. We loved the clear starry skies and beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Lassenat is a few minutes' drive from some of the most spectacular sites in the Gers and Florence and Patrick gave us lots of helpful hits about where to go. On our first night we arrived later than planned from the airport but were greeted with a warm welcome and a delicious home cooked meal. Patrick and another guest joined us for dinner around the large dining table and Patrick was generous with his home made - and absolutely delicious - wine. This led to a lively and happy convivial evening. I would heartily recommend staying here for as long as you can. It is a real treat and Patrick and Florence charming hosts. We arrived as guests and left as friends and can't wait to go back!

  The hosts and location are outstanding. What a friendly reception and Florence really knows how to cook. We chose the ‘diner d’hotes’ as we arrived around 8pm and everything was excellent (better than most restaurants). The room was spacious and wonderfully decorated. We enjoyed the gardens and all the homemade jams, bread and food. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a slice of heaven. They also helped us to book a special dinner in a barn where the Armagnac was starting to be distilled. They are a wealth of knowledge of the area.
