They have been crisscrossing the region since 2011 to meet Armagnac producers and build an exceptional collection of high quality Armagnacs. Very old Armagnacs, sometimes forgotten, sometimes no longer produced, but which remain a trace of an era, of the work of caring winegrowers...
  
  For lovers of Armagnacs, the meeting with Encantada is unique, since the fine team proposes to make you discover these exceptional vintages. On the occasion of events around Armagnac in the Gers, Armagnac tastings, unusual rides in 2cv. The eaux-de-vie that catch their attention are then bottled "brut-de-fût", there is no modification of the color or the degree of alcohol of the armagnac entrusted, it is 100% authentic. Here, you will be guided in your tasting, to appreciate this amber beverage at its fair value. A collection of rare bottles, sumptuous, subtle and sometimes forgotten elixirs! The partner producers will reserve their exceptional vintages for them, because they know that they will be tasted with accuracy and attention to this typical Gers alcohol, which requires many years of patience. Gascon eau-de-vie in all its splendour! From start to finish, every aspect of the tour and tasting experience at Armagnac L’Encantada was wonderful. If you're already familiar with this renowned Armagnac label and its signature orange wax-topped bottles, a tour of L'Encantada is probably a bucket list item for you as it was for me. But if not, you should understand that what awaits you inside this unassuming building in Vic-Ferenzac is some of the best Armagnac in the world, sought after and hunted down by enthusiasts, experts, bottle clubs, bourbon fanatics, and Michelin-starred restaurants around the globe. Vincent Cornu, our host and tour guide, was patient with our almost nonexistent French, funny and engaging in conversation, generous with samples of his best vintage Armagnac (including the legendary Lous Pibous), and thoughtful in wrapping our bottles safely for travel to the US. He truly embodies the genuine, informal hospitality of the Sud-Ouest, not to mention the passion that makes Armagnac L'Encantada so exceptional. It was a pleasure meeting him and his wife, Christelle, and our privilege to receive so much personal attention from founders of the brand. For those who love Armagnac or fine spirits, a day spent with Vincent at L’Encantada is something you must do before you die. As an aside, we learned during our visit that Vincent and Christelle have converted an apartment above the aging cellar into an Airbnb, complete with a window that looks down over the priceless barrels. Had we known, we would have stayed with them instead of an hour away in Condom.

If you are a fan of spirits, you’ll love this place. It’s located in the small town of Vic-Fezensac and is in a modern yet charming building. The tour of how they make the Armagnac is informative and interesting and tasting some of it is even better. I love the passion and work that’s put into bottling up this delicious spirit. If you’re in the area, stop in and say hi!

If you are interested in Armagnac, a visit to L'Encantada is a must. Vincent, Laure and Frédéric made us feel very at home-such a fun visit. The tour was given in English, and they were very patient with our limited French. Listening to Vincent talk about how he crafts his Armagnac was a joy as his passion for it shines through! Not to mention their vintage and blended Armagnacs are just outstanding. Highly recommended, can't wait to return some day
